If u mean an at will state, no. It means if u don't bother to ask y you are fired you cannot collect unemployment. A lit of bosses try to say at will state means we can fire you for any reason and it does not.

Father was a directional driller for the same company for over 30 years. They laid him off at the beginning of a year after a slow season with 1,500 dollar severance pay... He made $650 an hour. My parents lost all their 401k due to having to withdrawl early. Getting taxed on it and then again because anything withdrawn is considered income. So they had to pull almost everything to make sure they pulled enough for tax. So they paid taxes on 500k then again on the taxes to that 500k and to those taxes and so on and so forth. And its legal for the government to repeatedly tax you that way.
