  4. @ It’s not about that. You can pay an Indian $5 usd an hour, or higher an American for $20+ AND pay benefits. It’s a no brainer for companies. The only thing that can solve that would be to tax the shit out of the company to hire foreign workers outside of the country. Nike does it, Apple, etc. Any big name brand, look at the clothing. Most of it is coming from Vietnam now. They only get paid $500 usd a month to work 70 hour weeks. No benefits.

  6. @ It’s a scam in America, but not other countries. You do actually learn things in college. Learn things that don’t translate to making money. Lmao. Blue collar work is great if your back can take it. You will have tons of health issues the older you get driving trucks. Unless you are lucky as hell and make $100k driving local. OTR is a quick road to heart issues.

  8. @LIE your ass off. #dowhateverittakes you have to apply online then drive to the location and bug the hell out of the secretaries to get to meet a manager in person. It works like maybe 25% of the time, but what do you have to lose? Builds people skills too.

  9.  @Pedgo1986  so many people will go into the trades that the pay will plummet, that’s how that works. And your body will be beaten down by 50. Nothing wrong with it, I’ve just seen it a lot. Have a buddy who is a deckhand in the oil fields (South Dakota) and he walks like he’s 60, he’s 28.

  10. @ anything that CAN be automated will be. My company’s warehouse is full of robots and we’re in the Midwest. It’s crazy to watch, but right now they still break down all of the time, so tons of mechanics have to stay employed. It’s a nightmare honestly.
