  3.  @EvilAng3la  Yes, well said. If people see that you try to act kindly by default, and treat strangers well, they regularly think you are naive and will be crushed by such efforts. But it also involves fighting sometimes, it's unfortunate that it does, but it does.

  5.  @cosmo9925 It's far from perfect, and sometimes kindness is an actual fight to stop evil. But I disagree, it's not childish to always try to be kind to others. I've seen that create real change. Is it a complete answer to the ills of the world? Of course not, but it's a real start on the local level.
