Thanks Anders. The other concern is these glide bomb kits, and the new very large weaponry they're building. What's your take on how that will affect the Ukrainian defence?

I always find your insight and analysis very interesting thanks.

It's not just up to the political will of the countries in the west, but it also importantly comes down to their political capacity. This was an important point raised on the Vlad Vexler Chat channel on YouTube recently.

Do you think that the incremental increase on the Russian side - not increasing the intensity dramatically - isn't optimism bias, but is a political move to keep the war in place?

I really hope that it's published in English, I went straight to Amazon when you showed you'd written a book.

Or that Russians did not post a pre-written response a few days before the attack happened 😉.

Get ready for more nuke sabre rattling, and ZPP losing its cooling system, and foreign hits.

NAFO can accidentally depoliticise itself in this circumstance.

One of the big problems with populism is that subtlety and detail are lost in the noise of sound bites playing to a politician's base. And they know this. It's s game for them, and is about their own entrepreneurial goals and fame. Johnson will milk this as long as he can and wont care at all about Ukraine.

Thanks Anders, very interesting.

Excellent take.

I think understanding that the use of nukes is more tied to regime security than anything else is important

Very important point.

Very interesting, thanks. My amateur thoughts: Could it have been boobytrapped and the Ukrainians opened a door or something, and kaboom. Secondly, could it be another message to the west that they're willing to be irrational and there's a nuclear power station in the region?

It would help just a tiny tiny bit if the west had any sort of plan regarding what it wants to happen in Russia, and how it intends to make that happen. 🤐

Very interesting thanks.
