  2. Okay, scientist here. True. BUT, you're in a democracy and you have the power to lobby and work against this. Don't scare yourself, find out the real facts and learn how to do that. Peer reviewed evidence, carefully obtained. AND, very very importantly, don't scare monger because you damage your democracy then. This gives power to authoritarian regimes - either internally, like the right wing who don't have your interests at heart, and love a scared population, it's easy to control for their own ends - or external ones. Look at how China polices the Uyghurs, and look at how Russia is becoming a totalitarian state. Fight FOR your democracy, not against it. Be aware that these anti-democratic actors are pushing for a breakdown in trust in political institutions in the west.

  3. We need to kick Russia out of Ukraine and stop their bullying of Europe using hydrocarbon scarcity leading to energy price spikes. We need to dramatically invest in renewable technology and also nuclear (I am sorry to say it, but modern methods are a lot safer and we can't meet climate change targets without it).
