  2. The winter fuel payments - such a self footgun for them. This whole concept of there being no money anywhere, when we live in an economy that algorithmically increasingly optimises the extraction of money from people - it'd be laughable if it wasn't depressing. We need serious reform of the tax system and the press. Neither will happen. And actually, as someone who knew Starmer a little bit a few years ago, I'm saddened. He always had a hint of a radical streak, but he's blanded out and gone so far to the right of where he was.

  4.  @stewie7338  He is edging into fascism in his undermining of democratic institutions - we need them in order to have a forum for civil dialogue. His "othering" of certain groups, implying that they are an "enemy". His support of disinformation campaigns. His attacks on media as another enemy - much like his wannabe friend Mr Trump.
