The normal bite force of a cheetah is about 475 psi, and they weigh on average 110 lbs. Leopards can weigh on average 120 lbs and they have a 305psi bite, which is lower than an average cheetah's. On average, lions weigh 400 lbs and they have about a 900psi bite. If a cheetah was the size of a lion, it would have a bite force of about 1800psi. Twice that of a lion, stronger than that of a tiger, and is comparable to that of a jaguar. However, I said just large cats, because hyenas still have a relatively higher bite force.

I remember one where a hyena "helped" a leopardess kill a warthog and they both shared it and while the leopard was cautious, the hyena was unbothered because she wouldn't have dared. In another video, the exact same thing happened with a hyena and a lioness where the hyena "helped" a lioness kill another warthog and again, the panther was the cautious one in the scenario with the hyena biting her nose when she went out of place. I also remember yet another one where a hyena escaped a fully grown male lion who tried to attack her by biting his nose until he let go and this channel also posted a short yesterday which featured a female spotted hyena whose back legs got paralysed because of a lion attack but she was still walking on her two front legs. The fact that you hate an animal as an individual doesn't mean that that animal is weak. I think lions are overrated but a lion could still kill a buffalo if it gets lucky.

  41.  @HenryDube72  Jaguars aren't leopards. Neither are snow leopards. In fact, snow leopards are more closely related to tigers, despite being the smallest of the big cats. For black panthers, it depends on if its a black leopard, a black jaguar or almost Impossibly the other 3 panthera. I only think snow leopards are more of felinae in terms of behaviour than panthera, because they are very timid, and would give up a kill for a human and run away, despite again being the closest relative of the overall most dangerous cat.

  43. I get the point of this comment, but birds don't have facial expressions. Also for the person saying birds don't feel sad, they actually do. Birds like crows can feel sadness and be attached to certain people enough to protect them. They even mourn their dead (not in the way we do)

Hyenas, like most other wild animals are mostly scared of humans and although like most other predators they have eaten people before, if he moved, one of two things would have happened. The hyena would most likely be startled and run away, or it would get startled and attack him. Either way, it was a once in a lifetime moment to get within petting distance of such a misunderstood creature.

  49. Honestly, this is one of the situations where it's a win for everyone involved. The dogs got to eat without having to do most of the dirty work and without alerting other predators The hippo took its frustration out on one animal. The antelope got the short end of the stick, but got a less gruesome death than it would've without the help of the hippo.

  54. There is no king in the wild. A Nile crocodile would easily kill a lion in deep water, and even in shallow water, a lion would rather run away, than try to fight, because that would be suicide. People need to stop anthropomorphizing animals, because even the largest animals like blue whales can get killed by a pod of orcas, and even the strongest lion can still get owned by a large clan of hyenas.

I could've worded it better, but the panthers are Tigers (Panthera Tigris), Lions (Panthera Leo), Jaguars (Panthera Onca), Leopards (Panthera Pardus) and Snow Leopards (Panthera Uncia). All of those cats, except snow leopards can roar, but despite the inability, snow leopards and tigers are each other's closest relatives. The closest group to Panthera is neofelis, which contains Clouded leopards and Sunda Clouded leopards. The puma group come after this, and that includes Cougars, Jaguarundis and distantly, cheetahs. The lesser cats begin from neofelis, but true big cats are all Panthera. And any of the lesser cats that's above 100lbs (simply cheetahs and cougars) are large cats. TLDR: Anything other than a panther is not considered a BIG cat Keyword: Big.

I'm really obsessed with South american procyonids and since kinkajous don't get much recognition, I decided to name myself that. The reason it's random is because you wouldn't expect to see a monkey raccoon in a youtube comment section. I also have another account called "Mr Coatimundi", for the exact same reason.

If they did, they wouldn't walk in front of the cars, after all we've been doing safari for decades and they've adapted to ignore the disturbance and some have even used it to their advantage. Also, Safaris are used to make money from tourists, to help feed people who can't feed themselves. They're not just doing it for the fun of it. It's an actual business. It can also expose people to the real world and tell them that things are not always rainbows and butterflies and educate them about conservation, as the money can also go into the conservation of multiple threatened species.

Also, what do kinkajous have to do with anything? Incase you think I illegally own a kinkajou (I'm probably overthinking it), I don't. The closest I ever want to get to having an exotic pet is a domesticated ferret or abyssinian cat, which just look wild but aren't.

The Massai tribe hunt them down and if they hear a woman or a child's voice, they don't react too much, but if it's a male voice, they will either run away or form a defensive circle

  201. Nope, It's hunting. Leopards don't kill for sport, or territory most of the time. They kill to eat. I once saw a Leopard kill an adult cheetah that was resting, and it ate it.

  202.  @ysycotik  You're the ignorant one here. Lionesses don't serve lions, in fact lionesses make decisions in the pride, which include hunting and they will even kill males that they don't like. Lions are closer to servants in a pride than lionesses, because they're only there to act as body guards for their own cubs when the females go hunting. I wonder who's the ignorant one here now.

  210. @Gary Pollard Actually, without predators like crocodiles, painted dogs, lions and hyenas there would be imbalance in the ecosystem. Crocodiles are opportunistic hunters and without them, along with all other predators, the herbivore population would skyrocket. Pushing them into human conflict, where both humans and animals can be killed (although they would be killed by predators anyway). Also, without predators, there would be more animal corpses, polluting water and spreading diseases, if the scavengers like vultures can't keep up.
