She's averaging one stop per day, he's managing to barely do one stop per week. Surprised he isn't wearing steel ear guards...   7. I loved him asking about his opponent's husband's location, who is deployed to Camp Lemmonier, Djibouti with USAFRICOM (a command I'm familiar with, having served there myself after USCENTCOM). Talk about pot accusing the kettle! At least her husband has a reason - military duties. And Melania avoids the stink, Haley's husband gets the stink of Djibouti City burning garbage right outside the base... Yeah, I went there. And yeah, they do indeed burn the city's garbage near the base. We built a state of the art incinerator and donated it to them, alas, we never gave them fuel money to run the thing, so they stuck with what they had and could afford and I really can't blame them.

  8. There are two things that scared me. Losing my wife of 41 years, which happened two years ago. Dementia. Lost my father to that a decade ago. Watching my A1c and whatnot like the proverbial hawk. My nation, I swore an oath long ago, protect the Constitution and laws, that oath has no expiration date.

  10. I normally don't vote straight party line, but select based on platforms. This election of course, there's only one platform, Trump. So, it went straight party line. On the 4th, as I put my ballot into the mail slot, I said two words aloud, "No, Trump". On the 6th, I got notification that the county has received my ballot. Counting is on Nov 5.

General nationwide strikes, people staying home would do the same and be devastating if one got 5 - 10% of the population, as that would cripple every business in the land. Remember, a peaceful, utterly uneventful protest during his inauguration he labeled as a riot. Enough said.

  23. Fellow veteran and retiree here, glad to see a fellow like minded vet! My wife had an ectopic pregnancy that had to be aborted, with some difficulty due to a Roman Catholic hospital wanting my permission to perform the procedure while I was away on a field problem. Mailed my ballot on the 4th, it was received on the 6th and will be counted Nov 5, per state law. For a vanishingly rare change, I didn't vote per candidate's platform, due to GOP side MAGA worship, so it went straight Democratic party line. Despite being bit by voting for Nick Miccarelli, who is a GOP type and veteran, but alas, also a walking turd. And I have a gun and know how to not grab the end the glue comes out of! Only took three tries... ;)

  24.  @selftaopath  yes and no. In a very real way, he started running for 2020 when he was first elected and he pretty much treated his time as POTUS as largely a campaign. It's pretty much the only thing that he did in office, well, other than playing with his tiny balls with his tiny golf stick...* *I know they're golf clubs, work with me. Although, to me a birdie is something that flies and has feathers, never played golf, not interested, as I'm more into marksmanship as a sport.

  25. No, let the appeal run and the appellate court double the penalty for the perjurous submission and submit Alina to the Bar for disciplinary action. One danger of an appeal is that the court can find that the imposed penalty is insufficient.

  28. @geekfreak618 well, a lot of us got distracted by all of those cities being burned to the ground every night, just to amazingly be restored in the day, to burn to the ground anew every night. You know, the blizzard of bullshit flying about in the media during that mess, plus Trump's sending out the Waffen SS and Gestapo after protestors. Largely, due to an information processing disorder we've seem to suffered a pandemic of - the inability to pay attention to more than one thing for longer than five minutes. It's frustrating as hell, I know. I have managed to pay attention.

Couldn't get any Canadian flour though, I'm fully stocked on that already. Next, to get some Mexican produce, once the ice melts a bit (had a wintery mix storm that pretty much dumped a bunch of everything overnight). Got any other recommended products for sale, let me know.

Barely, literally qualifying for the term in medicine known of as a boo-boo. What is humorous is, he golfs without that white flag on his ear. But, on stage it's there, well pressed and pristine. I'm thinking he'll likely milk it for at least two months. Beyond that, he'd get poked fun at for either healing at a rate that is positively sickly or obviously milking it and well, that's by his own base.

  38. In her favor, when did she lie under oath? That is what perjury is, so when was she sworn in and lied to a court of law? As an attorney, she can misguide, mislead and do whatever she has to, within some boundaries, to defend her client and that's demanded of attorneys under our laws, rightfully so. That she did the worst possible job, under the worst possible conditions - courtesy of her client and made serious blunders in court still don't count as perjury. Only incompetence. There's an old joke. "She passed the bar, alas, she didn't stop in and learn anything".

  42.  @chrisp2249  where that came from is beyond me, given there's no plans for NATO to "fill" Ukraine, a non-NATO nation, with NATO troops (where NATO would shit out an army that the organization doesn't have is questionable as well, given troops only go on NATO missions when there's a specific need), NATO hasn't deployed nukes because only the US, UK and France have nukes and haven't deployed them with NATO anything since the Cold War ended in the mid-90's and again, why would NATO stick a fleet in a non-NATO nation's single base? Not a goddamned thing about what you said makes a damned lick of sense. Besides, Russia's well in range of US, UK and French boomers.

When I was still under Delaware County, it ran cleanly as well, though I did miss one vote due to our moving from FOB to FOB, making mail catching up problematic. Irritating, but I've always been a mission first guy
