  2. Glad that doctor mentioned the BCG vaccine. It's also effective against a few other stubborn bacterial infections and seems to be quite effective in preventing type I diabetes if given early in the disease, before the necessary cells in the pancreas are destroyed. It's beyond rare in the US though, as TB was rare in the US. Now that the CDC's EIS is gone, I'm sure we'll fix that problem and make all infectious diseases more common.
