@andersjjensen well, the bulk carrier is small, only 188.5 meters long, around half the size of the Truman, so it obviously darted out in front of the Truman from between parked ships... This is also the same carrier that had an F/A 18 shot down in a friendly fire incident. Ensign Helen Keller being recently promoted from air defense aboard the USS Gettysburg to conning the USS Truman. In other news, the US department of irresponsibility, also known of as D.O.G.E. has announced a really, really sweet deal on a slightly used Nimitz class aircraft carrier with low mileage. No comment yet on the name of said vessel, as officials look up how to spell Truman. Moving on, I still remain a hazard to navigation and refuse to leave the water citing safety concerns. If anyone's seen my Speedo, do let me know, it should appear as a kilometer long oil slick...

Even worse here, it'd be like a magazine fire with no flooding system. Due to how much energy the batteries store, they've got nearly unlimited heat, oxygen and fuel and for bonus points, those decks would trap the heat, turning them into immense ovens that'll cause nearby batteries to run away.

The US Naval vessel could've been running radar off, but there's a planet full of vessels that would've had their radar on, including the accident vessel. Plus in such congested waters, the US Naval vessel would've had decks full of watchers just to avoid a collision. Making me wonder about both the canal pilot and conning officer's visual acuity, as well as the same aboard the Truman. Did everyone suddenly go blind, deaf and dumb?

I've long joked, ships, like trains can stop on a dime. The only problem is, a nautical dime is really, really, really huge. As for rush hour, well, having driven Army convoys with hazmat across that bridge, I'm sure that'll be tonight's nightmares - collapse during rush hour. Great job on a timely warning that the vessel lost control and exceptionally good work on getting the bridge closed to traffic in time to avoid horrific casualties, as traffic is always present on that bridge!

Yeah, I'm seriously wondering about the viability of Ensign Helen Keller's career, first as air defense officer on the Gettysburg, now as conning officer on the Truman. Although, the investigation might get a bit muddle if the canal pilot was still at the con, not that damned much. It's not as if radar and radios haven't been invented yet.

@arnkriegbaum something that's actually true in a total war, the last of which was WWII for a true total war. Unmentioned is, were military supplies being transshipped? Ticklish line though for Spain, as they have a tightrope to walk on trade related to NATO passing through.

The further impact, beyond the usual commuter travel diversion is, that's one of only two paths across the bay for hazmat ground cargo. Now, it'll be a huge mess diverting hazmat cargo around the city. Everything here was absolute worst case scenario, save that a timely warning by radio did get the bridge closed to traffic in time to prevent a huge casualty toll.

Is it possible for you to put that into actual English? What you wrote is "In January we will have to actual existence our ambassador from Spain. ANd put a 200 percent tariff on anything house servant in Spain with product label". Which doesn't make sense in English, or in economics, since tariffs are paid for by the receiver, so that US purchasers pay any penalty, not Spain for enforcing their rights - how dare anyone express rights not of the god-emperor!!!!!!!!!!! Which makes about as much sense as a copy writing you a ticket because your nextdoor neighbor was speeding or attacking Newport News in retaliation for the Russians attacking one of our ships in the Black Sea.
