What should have happened is, once denied, he contacted the county elections office and everything that happened while the reporter watched would've been done. In this case though, doing so through the press ensured what should happen did happen and ensured viewers know their options and to call their county elections office if there's a problem. Most don't know who to call and that's critical if one is to exercise one's right to vote.

@gregoryellsmore2095 OK, all parties involved said it was a mistake, but you know far better via your godlike superpowers.

Well, there is a us vs here. Us vs oops. Figuring out who to call to resolve an oops can be daunting for many, as most of us don't have to deal with local or county governments much throughout our entire lives. So, now all viewers know to contact their county elections office if there's a problem and that's a huge win for all.

Even better, educated the viewers on calling their count elections office if there's a problem. Turned a problem into a win for all of the populace that experience similar issues, because well, we all screw up and that's why we have such systems in place.

OK, didn't help here, disproving your assertion that would deny our deployed military their right to vote.

@clarawilliams2300 I hope that he voted for someone sane instead. But then, I've personally met Trump, I know better than to trust him any farther than I could throw the Pentagon.

Even money, while untangling it, apologizing the entire way. We all screw up, how one deals with screwing up tells what kind of person that they are. Most just admit to screwing up and scramble to fix it. Others just earn disrespect for denying their blatantly obvious screwup.

Because it fixed this? Oh wait, it didn't and couldn't, but it could deny deployed service members their right to vote, giving them absolutely no reason to want to defend you in the future.

And somehow, everyone muddled through without denying our deployed military their right to vote. Or was I supposed to have Scotty beam me from the sandbox to the elections office to get my mail in ballot during the war? Or just go without my rights, in which case you'd better be ready to start praying to Allah next time, we don't get rights, you don't get defended.
