The downside being, when he overruled his own people, well, the launch pad debacle is a prime example of how things went wrong due to his cheaping out and overruling his experts. Wouldn't have been a big deal, save for that natural refuge getting peppered with concrete chunks and a town inundated with dirt. The tanks that were damaged were his, so his business, the town isn't his, nor was that refuge.

Once embryos are declared children, all embryos are children, so parents with fertilized eggs that are frozen as backups now are stuck paying for storage of the now unable to be terminated "children". Of course, once the parents are deceased and the estate funds are exhausted, what happens when the hospital is overflowing with embryos in storage that it cannot get rid of, as it'd be murdering children? Meanwhile, IVF providers in Alabama consulted counsel and have terminated services. So, either their lawyers are all wrong or you are.
