Tesla and SpaceX are assembly line science, Boring isn't going anywhere at all, the HyperLoop is under a small parking lot only, his neural interface is 1970's tech - literally at where we were in the '70's - albeit at a 1920's infection rate in his lab animals. Twitter is just an ASSembly of rubbish so bad I deleted my account in disgust. Elon does have one skill, he does know how to hire people that are competent to come up with ideas for him. That's actually a fairly rare skill, but not one so rare as to make objectionable behavior suddenly acceptable.

An interesting thing, the USPS. Trusted not only with our mail, but also to courier classified documentation and parcels up to secret via registered mail, implemented to reduce the need for special couriers to carry such sensitive items to their destinations. Without the USPS, there'd be no trusted authority that could convey such parcels and messages, save for couriers, of which the government would literally require tens of thousands of. As an example, if I decommissioned a computer that's used to process secret information, the memory and hard drive would be removed and sent to the NSA for destruction via registered mail, inside of a properly packaged parcel (there are strict instructions on packaging and inner labels). Without the USPS, such would have to be hand carried by a courier, likely by air, then via rental car, uninterrupted to the destination for delivery of the sensitive contents. Additionally, the USPS post offices and post roads are both only to be controlled, created and funded by Congress, per Article I, Section 8 of the US Constitution. So, the Emperor and Empress are strongly advised to just sod off and kick a rock.

  24.  @dianevanderlinden3480  the funny thing is, the verbiage behind even the suggestion of that nonsensical check was that it'd be for people that make over $40k a year. The justification is that they're more likely to deposit the money into the bank, rather than use such badly needed funding and that'd slow inflation down by slowing spending. And again, ignores entitlements as a disparaging thing, when entitlements are literally what one is entitled to, as in an enumerated right. But, I guess some rights are more equal than others, just as some income level people are more equal than others. So saith the lord god Mammon.

If someone's read in on something above their usual clearance level, the data owner and officer responsible are accepting the risk upon themselves if that trust is abrogated. Although, it is interesting that he was granted a TS, just not the restricted programs, groups and bigot lists. Especially with reported admitted drug usage, which suggests he's admitted to it and the USAF accepted that risk. That strongly suggests some strings got pulled from significant, rarefied altitude.   47.  @mrjerzheel  nope, some laws are delegated for enforcement to the states, elections being top of the list, with case law going back to the 1790's. And what was objected to was the attorney instructing a jury on what it may and may not do, which is exclusively a duty for the judge, not either side's attorney. When the judge sustained the objection, it was an instruction to the defense to continue along a different line, he was ignored and basically in contempt of court and the law. Now, it'll go before the Bar disciplinary board to be handled, as it really is a big deal.
