  13. Taiwan was never part of China's civil war between ROC government vs the communist rebels. The veterans in the video were part of Chinese refugees in 1950's to Taiwan. So, reunification is technically for Chinese refugees only and not the Taiwan territory where majority of Taiwanese residents before the influx of the refugees.
