@bockscar1 No guessing here. We are basing everything according the documented facts and not what someone said and other said. Facts matter. That's why I was looking for Cairo Declaration signed document because it's keeps popping up without evidence.

@kevinho5498 Reunite is merely a false propaganda because Taiwan and China were not united even before the import of communist ideas to China.
1
@bockscar1 There wiki revised it without mentioning communique but written Churchill draft by his secretary. No draft document is available and the communique had no signatures which means the Cairo Declaration agreement did not exist.
1
@bockscar1 Who signed it? What's the title of the document? The only available was the "Declaration of Three Powers" signed by US, UK and USSR.
1
@bockscar1 Mao was a traitor of ROC. He was a paid KMT minister for peasants. CCP were KMT members. Mao Zedong supported Chiang-Kai-Shek's as president of ROC.
1
@bockscar1 " bare in mind it was signed by Chiang Kai shek to return taiwan to ROC not CCP " There was no signed document. No signature or name of CKS. It's like a 92 consensus. No document existed. It's from who said and another who said.
1
@bockscar1 You just pasted a citation and I am not sure where you copied it. It is from wiki? Despite the long narrative, it only mentioned the Cairo Declaration which again back to basic question. Where is that document and who signed it and when?
1
@bockscar1 So far it does not answer, if there is really a signed Cairo Declaration?
1
@bockscar1 I will paste this very important citation from wiki. You can check and verify it. citation "In November 1950, the United States Department of State announced that no formal act restoring sovereignty over Formosa and the Pescadores to China had yet occurred;[6] In February 1955, Winston Churchill said that Cairo Declaration is out of date. Just one day ago, Churchill also told the House of Commons that Cairo Declaration contained merely a statement of common purpose and the question of Taiwan's future sovereignty was left undetermined by the Japanese peace treaty.[7][8] British officials reiterated this viewpoint in May 1955, saying that "The Chinese Nationalists began a military occupation of Formosa and the Pescadores in 1945. However, these areas were under Japanese sovereignty until 1952." and that [The Cairo Declaration] was couched in the form of a statement of intention, and as it was merely a statement of intention, it is merely binding in so far as it states the intent at that time, and therefore it cannot by itself transfer sovereignty.[9]"
1
@bockscar1 My concluding comments to my pasted citation as stated. 1. UK and the US denied the Cairo declaration document so none really existed. 2. It was merely an intention without legally bind document, so it cannot be a basis of claim. 3. The military presence of KMT guards in 1945 did not change the fact that it was still a Japanese territory. 4. Japan's 1951 peace was the basis of Taiwan's sovereignty freedom from Japan and automatically rested to the people of Taiwan for self-determination. 5. The implementation of 1951 peace treaty regarded Taiwan automatic freedom and independence from Japan and Japan did not transfer the sovereignty to any country nor any other government therefore Taiwan's independence started from there. That is the status quo according to international law. Taiwan people have all the rights to decide among themselves for their country Taiwan.
1
@bockscar1 So its China's self-serving position with no one agreed. It is clearly the same as CCP claiming Taiwan because they said so even if no document or no evidence.
1
@bockscar1 I am aware of that retrocession day. But just like CCP's no basis of Taiwan claim, there was no retrocession because Japan did not cede the Taiwan sovereignty to China nor ROC. It was controversial and disputed. That day is no longer a public holiday.
1
@bockscar1 As you pasted, it's a self-explanatory. The order from the US General for CKS was to receive Japanese surrenders in China(except Marchuria), Formosa, French Indo-China. That's all, it has nothing to do with sovereignty.
1
@bockscar1 CKS was merely assigned as proxy of the US to receive the surrender. That's all. KMT-soldiers were also present French-Indo China. Outside China, it was only the US vs Japan. The US helped Chinese forces in China. Japan did not sign a peace treaty with China.
1
@bockscar1 CCP has nothing about Taiwan. CCP is riding on KMT's claim. They claim whatever KMT has now as inheritor of China. So CCP is using KMT for Taiwan's claim. That's the reason they want KMT to win in Taiwan.
1
@bockscar1 Taiwan was not part of China's civil war. So, it is not a Taiwan dispute. The real dispute between CCP-PRC and KMT-ROC was the territory of China and not Taiwan.
1
@bockscar1 The US helped CKS troops in China. Only the US was in Taiwan to force the Japanese troops to surrender. The general order no1. was assigning CKS to receive the surrender in behalf of the US, the main victorious force against Japan outside China. The US navy brought the KMT-soldiers from China to Taiwan for the first time in 1945. Taiwan was still a Japanese territory in 1945 until the 1951 treaty.
1
@bockscar1 Mao-Tse Tong was a communist member of KMT-China. CCP and KMT joined together against Japanese troops in China. After the surrender, Mao-Tse-Tung rebelled against CKS to oust him. That's past history. Now, CCP wants KMT to win in Taiwan because they expect KMT to cooperate for the takeover of Taiwan without a fight. Those who cooperate with China will get bonuses and luxuries. How many Taiwanese defected to China? Many Taiwanese are suspected as spies for selling Taiwan secret information to China to make money.
1
@bockscar1 1943 Cairo was your pick in the beginning...I was just reacting to find facts because so far nothing shows.
1
@bockscar1 "citation: The implementation of the legal obligation to return Taiwan and its appertaining islands (including the Diaoyutai Islands) to the ROC was first stipulated in the Cairo Declaration......' See? you cherry picked the same thing about 1943 Cairo... but it did not exist.
1
@bockscar1 It's Cairo again and nothing else. Your claim is like from CCP without evidence or document.
1
@bockscar1 How to summarize a single document that did not exist? Amazing. That's how CCP keeps ranting of Taiwan as part of China but no document or evidence.
1
@bockscar1 what agreement? Don't tell me it's cairo again. Was it claimed Declaration and now it's agreement?
1
@bockscar1 CCP has always no basis. They are riding what KMT has to say because they claim they own KMT so they can take everything from them.
1
@bockscar1 "again that last statement is the agreement and documents that JPN agreed upon " Don't tell me it's same Cairo again which does not exist. Repeating it to say does not mean it existed
1
@infinityandbeyond7057 Why did you say that?
1
@infinityandbeyond7057 I was asking for why there is no such thing as signed Cairo Declaration which the citation depends on that thing only.
1
@infinityandbeyond7057 That's not what I asked. It's irrelevant. I was asking for why there is no such thing as signed Cairo Declaration. That's all.
1
@infinityandbeyond7057 The question remains if there is a signed declaration.

TDS people have four years to cry like a baby.

Xi: "We will not rule by force but reserve all options.." meaning ROC government to freely handover for free.
