  1. Japan renounced the sovereignty on Taiwan which automatically means the Taiwan was free and independent from Japan. Both Korea and Formosa(Taiwan) were in the same treaty article no.2. So the STATUS QUO started from the effective date in 1952 as independent sovereign territory..

  2.  @walentystankiewicz8486  1.5 billion Chinese is determined by the ruling communist dictator. The party owns China and people. You don't have any right. Whereas in democratic and free county Taiwan, the sovereignty belongs to the Taiwanese. That's the difference.
