@davidwong5197 The ROC constitution does not mention China and Taiwan.

@davidwong5197 The original 1947 Constitution was for China only (Taiwan was technically a territory of Japan) so Taiwan was not stated anywhere in the constitution.

@davidwong5197 You don't know the fact of the history. CKS was assigned in behalf of the US in 1945 to receive Japanese surrenders only in Formosa, China(not including Manchuria) and French Indo-China. Peace settlement was settled only 1951 treaty. So it was a US occupation of all Japanese territories including Taiwan. CKS soldiers came to Taiwan for the first time by US navy. That's why Taiwan was still a Japanese territory under occupation until the 1951 treaty.

@davidwong5197 Taiwan was not stated anywhere in the constitution. No specific boundaries in article 4. Besides, it prohibits changing the boundaries. By article 4, Taiwan could not be assumed to include it while it was still a territory of Japan.

@davidwong5197 Nine dash line argument was probably stolen idea from KMT-ROC old version of current 11 dash line.By domestic law of ROC, the claim is illegal because ROC did not transfer the sovereignty of China to PRC. So by ROC law, it remains the only legal government of China.
