@CanadianLegionaire Being one USA is a great sovereign country. Canada being a state has the autonomous government. The positive side is enormous for Canadians with zero tariffs easing the 80% trade, lower taxes, and bigger job and business opportunities everywhere in more than 50 states.

@stephenrioux6821 There are also homeless in Canada which numbers at least half the homeless people in the US except in the US, the states provide free food stamp in addition to other services. So no money how you twist it, money is important to live better.

@CanadianLegionaire No one touches your proud history and being a state will be part of historic event. Well, the economy of Canada is highly dependent on the US including the consumption of Canada's natural resources which the US also produces the same. The offer to be a state is a choice for Canadians to be better or to keep struggling ahead.

@CanadianLegionaire Most Canadians have wait and see attitude and many agree with being part of MAGA. Trump is serious though with his tariffs and scaling down subsidies with Canada along with the current problem of illegals from Canada's border.

@CanadianLegionaire The tariff is not a threat on US trade partners but a strategy to boost the domestic economy. Imposing higher tariff will encourage US domestic production and bring back the US jobs. The US also benefit the additional revenue of the tariff. Increasing demand on local produce will eventually lower the prices of products for consumers. The US have the same natural resources as Canadians. So, technically the US don't need Canadian products.
