@morewi Ask Allied governments ;) In fact, by Geneva conventions of 1929 German soldiers fighting on Eastern Front would not be covered by that convention, because Germany did not abide by it. It is well known fact what Germans did to Soviet POWs in 1941. Therefore, Soviet Union had the right to retaliate in kind.

US and UK POWs were mainly in modern western Poland, which was liberated by Soviets . Also, idea that British and Americans could just march into Berlin is rather stupid. Hitler and OKW would never allow that without fight and Germans were fighting Western Allies well into April of 1945.

Lots of misinterpretation and outright falsehoods in this video. No wonder when TIK takes someone called Epstein as reliable source of information :D Vlasov was never anti-Stalin, in fact Stalin did not bother him when re rapidly rose trough the ranks thanks to his colleagues being arrested or even shoot. His ROA existed mostly as an propaganda tool for Germans from 1942 until late 1944. He knew that but continued to be useful tool for those who wanted to kill between 20-30 million Soviet citizens, burn down the cites and turn rest into slaves or serfs. Only when things became desperate for the Germans they finally armed ROA which was mostly made up by former Hiwis and members of other collaborationist anti-partisan units . By agreement on Yalta conference, Allies were under obligation to hand over to Soviets ANYONE who fought against them (Germans before anyone else) , therefore idea that members of ROA were somehow protected from extradition is ridiculous.

@morewi You obviously do not understand that conventions work both ways. If Germany does not respect Geneva conventions, then USSR is not under obligation to respect them too. And we are talking about 1929 conventions, not 1949 (which did not cover WW2, obviously) . Also, we do not cover the fact that no country considers conventions superior to domestic laws. For example, any US citizen joining enemy army would not be treated according to conventions, he would be tried for high treason.

@morewi Actually, it was other way around. Germany as a signatory was obliged to respect conventions even if other side is not a signatory, provided that other side respects them informally. Anyway, when the war started, Red Cross called both sides to abide by convention, Germany refused.

@morewi I would agree, better bother yourself with writing and grammar, so people could understand some of your scribblings :P

@morewi Yep, your level of illiteracy is rather sad, I admit.
