@TIKHistory again display slot of naivety 😁 Churchill first and foremost tried to safeguard British Empire, which was already shaking before the WW1 and especially in mid-war period. He definitely wanted to avoid WW1 carnage, so advocated operations in Norway, Greece etc ... where British would have some advantage due to RN . Comparing British and Germans - Germans were much more honest about their goals, but British were equally if not more ruthless. In the end of the day Churchill failed simply because destruction of British Empire was inevitable at the moment, not because he was an idiot.
