No, because insanity as written in the law is only knowing the difference between right and wrong. When he wrote I am going to spend the rest of my life in jail he proved he knew the difference. He had other choices. He could have told the school counselor that he needed metal help and he was having thoughts of harming others or himself. They would have P.N.C."d him. He qould have been placed in a behavioral health facility and evaluated, medicated, released then sent to an out patient neuro-psychologist where he qould have received further evaluation, sent to a counselor and a therapist and had his medication monitored. He didn't have to make the choice he did. He could have reached out to the adults in the school. Instead he choose to keep it to himself. He choose to make videos beforehand. That shows intent and he knew the difference between right and wrong. In essence his defense has no defense. Their only hope is to make the jury feel sorry for him and hope for a reduced sentence.

Seems like their tactic is working on you. You must understand that not all people are good like you are. I understand it's hard for you to see that some people just aren't like you. However he made his his choices. Even very small children know the difference between right and wrong. It's written on our hearts. He choose to do this. Go watch his videos. Then you will see his was spoiled and not supervised. He knew what was he was doing and made a choice to do it even though he knew it would harm many people outside of those he killed. His goal was to spread terror and sadness among the community. He is not a victim. His parents are a victim. For all we k own he never asked them for help. He may have very well been planning his defense early on. The journal is more of a manifesto than an actual journal. Something he knew people would read after he committed the crime. He wasn't writing it for himself. He was writing it for those who would read it after the fact.

He knew after he committed the crime people would read whatever he left behind. I wouldn't doubt he never asked for help and left that as a way to punish his parents for the lack of attention he felt entitled to. I've seen his videos. Nothing poor about him.

You believe the word of a premeditated killer without proof?
5
@citizendame6329 then you typed fox typos. I am amused. Did you do that on purpose?

What's sad is how truly gullible good people are and how easy it is to control them with their own emotions. No one even considers the fact he knew what he was doing. He knew what would happen. He knew they would read everything he left behind. They ignore the fact that this was premeditated This was planed. That his goal was to punish his parents because he was entitled and spoiled. There's no proof he ever asked for help. Yet the are eating out of his murderous plotting hand. Good people have no concept of what evil really is. Sad fo society as whole that some people are so easily manipulated by their own emotions and lack the ability to think logically without themselves lacking empathy. He xoukd have asked any number of people for help. He didn't. He had a pathological need for attention and he was going to get it by any means necessary. If he couldn't be famous he qould be infamous.

@citizendame6329 he recorded himself. Talking about how he was going to kill people. I'm sure it will be played during the trial.
4
There's no proof he ever asked for help. There's no proof he didn't write it as a way to punish them further. If he really wanted help he could have asked any number of people he came in contact with on a daily basis.
4
@suzimonkey345 no he just wanted attention.

Sorry for any typos. Tiny typing box.

@citizendame6329 it made me smile.

Do you know your blood type? Also if you can't have children most likely it's due to diet. No joke. I'm not pulling your leg. There are others who weren't able to have children. Went more than 30 years with only a miscarriage. Only to go carnivore and then have multiple children. Also maybe you were intended to adopt children or even foster children. As they need a mother in the same way you feel a need to be a mother. You may want to look into Dr.Anthony Caffee M.D. on YouTube. Were you under a lot of stress at the time? If the body makes to much Cortisol it can and will sometimes terminate the pregnancy on its own. This stress hormone is due to most miscarriages. Again I'm very sorry this happened to you. hugggsgsgsgsgsgsgss

@sophiashattuck1736 he could have acted completely normal while with them.

Why are you so quick to belive it?

@Rubyroo.22 his parents are in trouble for buying him the gun. The school is in trouble for not reporting him to authorities. The school didn't follow protocol and instead they called the parents to take him home. The parents said no because it's the school's responsibility. So now they are all in trouble as well as the boy. He had a gun in his bag yet his bag wasn't searched by the school. He was caught with a drawing but he never asked for help. So even when caught he didn't ask for help. The school didn't do what they qere supposed to and his parents nor the school informed police or took him to a hospital and they didn't search his bag. He was actively trying to hide his actions as not to get caught. However the school had an opportunity to do something even though he didn't ask for help. His parents could have taken him home but then they would be dead now. People are just mad because they are trying to use this case to fight the second ammendment constitutional right for adults to bear arms. When the child had no reason to own a gun in the first place. Especially without proper training. What you're seeing is just a politically driven witch hunt for all involved. The main reason they are after the parents is the paid for the gun he used.

@isisbeck2374 after seeing the back yard video I completely agree with your statement.
2
@MISTY1LUV when you write something you know what you are trying to convey. So it's easy to understand what you mean by it. When a stranger reads it all they see is your words and sentences. If you don't use proper sentence formation or punctuation then the much of the meaning you are trying to convey is lost with them trying to struggle to make sentences and sense of what you typed.

@othellewis8931 on the day of the incident he was in the principles office with his parents present and he didn't say anything about needed help. He acted normal like nothing was wrong. So they sent him back to class. At the time the gun was in his backpack. The school didn't search his bag or his locker. He didn't ask for help. He acted like it was all a misunderstanding and he was fine. I don't see how anyone could have known what he was planning.

@Annon_28 glad to be of service
2
@sophiashattuck1736 you didn't contradict the fact he acted normal as not to be caught. His parents weren't called because of his behavior. They were called because of a drawing. He proceeded to convince everyone involved it was just a drawing. There was no danger. His manipulative behavior is why they didn't check his backpack and why they allowed him to go back to class. He was manipulative to the point the felt completely at ease sending him to class without being checked. That in itself is a testament to his ability to decive those in positions of authority. If he wanted help then that day he would have been honest about the drawing. Yet he wasn't.

@sophiashattuck1736 Plenty of people watch horror movies and crime shows yet never commit a crime. He owned a gun. Looking at ammo in itself isn't a reason for suspicion. Neither is watching videos or drawing a picture. Not by themselves. In hindsight the perspective is different because you are being presented with the evidence as evidence and as a whole. The people involved were only privileged to the isolated incidents which on their own could be explained away by someone who readily had an excuse. For example, say I'm watching a video on a school shooting. Did someone see him watching the video? Or was this an after the fact discovery by the prosecution after they took his phone? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say someone saw him watching a school shooter video. They walk up, what are you watching. Oh this video of that school. Horrible right? Yeah it was messed up. Yeah I'm just watching it so I can be better prepared if it ever happens to us. See how easy it is to explain it away? Then you have the bullets. Again we will give you the Bennington of the doubt and say someone saw him and this also isn't something found by the prosecution after tha fact. Oh you looking at bullets? Yeah, I'm going to go hunting with my dad. Parents ask, oh you looking at bullets. Yeah a friend invited me to target practice behind their house. OK honey be safe. The drawing. Did you draw this. Yes. Why? It's just a drawing of something I saw on tv. Parents to principal. See its just a drawing and you know he's never been a problem or been in trouble before. We don't see why he needs ro be sent home. Principal. Well. I guess you're right. Go back to class. Each incident on its own is nothing. Only all together and in hindsight does it mean anything. You're looking at it from a spectators perspective after the fact. How much of that was known due to the prosecutions discovery? Who knew what before the fact. At some point you have to stop letting the media weaponize your emotions for political gain and step back and view the situation logically.
2
@sophiashattuck1736 I don't know if anyone else has told you but its ok to be mad. It's ok to be sad. It's ok to have emotions. Its ok to grieve. And you don't need to be strong for others.

He went to school. He could have asked any of the staff. Schools have councilors you know.
1
@Rubyroo.22 here the school staff overrides parents. If he asked for help at the school he would have been taken to be evaluated in a behavioral health clinic and his parents would have been made by law to take him to a neuro-psychologist an therapist and a counselor. His parents wouldn't have had a choice. If they refused he would have been removed from the home and placed into a care facility and monitored.
1
@Rubyroo.22 after seeing the videos he made and the ones taken by his neighbors I don't believe he asked for help.

Cause people don't work or anything. Whatever.

@prtrinilan4357 that's what's up

@Galaxie08 how very articulate you are. Lol

@Galaxie08 if you don't like what others have to say move on. You're not the center of the universe and your not the opinion police. Take your own advice.

@sophiashattuck1736 I am very sorry you are hurting. If you're looking to place blame. It's souly with the shootr. No one else. He made a choice. Not to harm those who died, but to harm those who live. I understand why you need to blame the parents and school. I need you to be ready for the possibility the shootr is the only one who will be punished. I pray for you to have strength and peace. Hugsgsgsgsgsgsgsgsgs
