  1. Onions are said to be among the most nutritious of garden vegetables. When I was a kid, Mom would sometimes have a saucer of onion sections on the table. I gnoshed on onion along with other parts of the meal. When I worked with Boy Scouts on canoeing and camping expeditions, I would add onion sections to the meal.
