  1. The collapse of the wood beamed bridge is kind of ridiculous. For a century or so, railroad trestles have been built with wood. Steam trains were HEAVY. It has been off the shelf technology for a long time. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying

  2. Paving a road with solar panels? At least they didn’t pave with something valuable. Like, say, concrete or chocolate ice cream. Solar panels that live in good conditions lose effectiveness at 2% per year. So, in 25 years they are already at 1/2 of production. And that’s in GOOD conditions lose effectiveness.
