I concur, this could be a concern. Some concerning questions that I ask are:
1. how did they measure the strength of the Earth’s magnetic field 150 years ago?? Nothing in my experience or education ever addressed its strength, only movement. What methodology and instrumentation was employed?
2. Who was doing these measurements? AND, who was financing these measurements? Financing can affect results.
3. What has happened to the ice ages that were supposed to damage us in the past 40 or 50 years?
4. As glaciers retreat, what is being found under that melting ice are artifacts of bustling human activity that was flourishing, that was covered by ice.
5. I E: prior to current conditions, it was quite different. What - other than Nature - caused those large changes?
We often - usually? - think that what now exists is the first and best conditions available. But, even mountain ranges come and go. The Sahara used to be a verdant area. Rivers are always hanging. Entire continents move. Fact is,the Earth was always changing before humans came along. Mankind is not the cause of geology, volcanism, etc. We ride it out, and adapt or perish. No guarantees.
