  1. It’s always been a rarity for me to walk up to a tree in the woods, and find its bark easy to remove. I’ve spent a lot of rime in the woods in the last 82 years. The first 3 years, Mom was able to contain me inside. That changed a lot in the summer when I was 4, and I never looked back. So to see someone walk out there, take up a hatchet, and get busy stripping bark, leads me to believe that he knew about that dead tree before he entered those woods. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying
