  1. I kind of jokingly say, “I was raised by a dog, and my parents helped a lot.” Now, my parents were loving and attentive. But my dog was my best friend. She was beagle through and through, with some rat terrier in there. Her hunting instinct was pure beagle. And the brains were pure terrier. Along with a lot of other things, she taught me about reading body language. I didn’t realize that until years later, in a communications class.   2. That’s a bad way to shorten the life of a good shovel. Don’t cook on your shovel, and don’t dig a hole with your frying pan. And, even a bland corn dodger tastes good when you add maple syrup. Of course, even that shovel handle would be tasty with some maple syrup! Courtesy of Half Vast Flying

  3. Beef tacos are a great meal! I can’t fathom a fish taco. I know that many folks do enjoy the fish. But a fish flavored taco makes me think of, say fish chili. UUGGHH!
