  2. @Ricky-oc4xc  I suppose it all comes down to how we define intelligence. Calling Chat GTP an intelligence seems to be a downgrade to the concept of intelligence.

  3. @picklepopsickle  I didn't mean to imply that it was 'stupid' or that it's not good at what it does. I just think that actual intelligence or sentience (maybe I shouldn't be conflating the two?) is not there. At least, not yet. It doesn't have that spark, that indviduism. I'm not sure what it will look like if it does get there... and I try [not] to let science fiction influence me too much in that regard... but I don't think it's there.

  4.  @Ricky-oc4xc  a calculator is better at arithmetic than a human. Doesn't mean it is a sentient intelligence.
