@tracymoore6821 at least the people that voted for this mayor have localized their mistake. The people that voted for Joseph are tying to take us all down with them.

@Legally_Bomb when it comes to democrats, competence and integrity take a backseat to the checklist. It's why they keep putting corrupt and incompetent people in power... its not because her race is broken or something. It's because her race is seen as an inherent virtue that trumps all else.

She only has the police wrapped around her finger because she has that much power. She got that much power because much of the town was blindly voting for party/race.

@othiq1077 and I feel sorry for them. But what is the alternative. Give the federal government the power to come remove her? That would be misused almost immediately. They would use that power to remove anyone they didn't like. We simply can not go that route. The best thing they could do is to hold some sort of emergency referendum or something. Pass a law that holds a vote to hold another mayoral vote... but I don't think that will get her out. Her constituents wanted her there for a reason. And when it comes to not having enough resources to move away... I feel for that, I really do. But eventually it will become more expensive to stay than to leave. I never hear people in the path of a hurricane or wild fire say they don't have enough money to flee.

I think you're overlooking a huge problem here... she was voted in. That town was dumb enough to put her in. Enough people in that town wanted 'muh black wamen' that she won... and I guarantee they'll do it again.

The funniest part is, that town will reelect her. They aren't voting on policy.

Who is 'they'. The voters put her in there... so it's not them. The cops are her thralls... so not them either. The state and fed haven't step in after all of this... so it's not them (and probably better that way.. that precedent could be used to remove mayor's who break other 'laws' like actually enforcing immigration laws.) Sometimes your purpose in life is to serve as an example for others. In this case... we have a whole town serving as an example.
