I personally know people who get very uncomfortable at its mention and the mentioning of Walter Duranty, Lysenko and The NYT.... even if the conversation started out about the holocaust.

  18. Gender is a social construct the way farming is a social construct. Try building a civilization without it and see what happens. Or try to overthrow the social construct of farming like Lysenko and see what horrors are visited upon your civilization. Because after all, civilization is a social construct. The idea that because something is a 'social construct' it is invalid is the slight of hand they thrive on. It makes their detractors weak because they start trying to argue the wrong point.

  24. I've been reading about lysenko and the parallels between his 'ideologically convenient conclusion before facts and reality' philosophy seems to be present in every field of study that has been made subservient to leftists. Medicine, sociology... all of it.
