Gender is a social construct the way farming is a social construct. Try building a civilization without it and see what happens. Or try to overthrow the social construct of farming like Lysenko and see what horrors are visited upon your civilization. Because after all, civilization is a social construct. The idea that because something is a 'social construct' it is invalid is the slight of hand they thrive on. It makes their detractors weak because they start trying to argue the wrong point.
