I dont think Locke leads to woke. I think the woke abandoned locke while keeping his name for appearances. Locke believed in localism, meritocracy, and minarchy... things the woke viciously oppose. C.S. Lewis actually talks about how the less intelligent always attempt to turn 'Equality before the Law' into 'Equality of all things'. I believe it was in Screwtape Proposes a Toast. But I'll give it a listen and see the arguments.

@Nudhul I believe when Locke said everybody was equal he was referring to equal before the law. A big part if his philosophical works revolve around challenging the 'divine right to rule' claimed by kings. He didn't like that were different laws for people based on their social class. I see this as a good thing. The corruption of this is best described, in my opinion, by C.S. Lewis in Screwtape Proposes a Toast. He details the demonic sophistry that bends Equality to Equal in Every Way. Vonnegut also did it pretty well in Harrison Bergeron. The biggest problem with liberalism is it makes easy times, which makes weak men... The mass immigration under the guise of benevolence was more of a corruption of Christianity than Liberalism. Jim Jones style.
