@CaptainDuckman I know. I just combined the words together. I'm amazed by how many people don't know this history though. Over a million Europeans were abducted in a span of around 4 centuries, it's estimated. And that was just the Berbers. The Ottomans were a whole other story. Schools intentionally don't teach this as it screws up their 'whiteness' narratives. They will claim that Morocco was 'the first nation to recognize American independence' but leave out the part about them only doing it so they don't have to abide by treaties with the royal navy. And they like to pretend Jefferson owned a Koran out of respect... instead of him reading it in order to understand the people he just declared war against.
