It's well documented on film that John and Paul broke up the Beatles, by underappreciating, overlooking and diminishing George to the point that George decided he'd be better off without the Beatles. If you watch the films, you can see it happening with your own eyes. George finished the album, but he was done with John and Paul's crap. Replacing George would have been controversial and "unholy" to the purists, which is probably the majority, so, solo careers for everybody. That's what happened, and it had nothing to do with Cousin It the porpoise-lady.

@bigverybadtom The Rolling Stones weren't involved in the Beatles breakup. I talked about filmed and documented things that you can watch and see for yourself. Nobody was even hinting at a breakup till George up and quit over Paul's badgering whilst George was feeling like he's been relegated to a minor role. It seems like the very idea of quitting the Beatles caught everybody off guard, as if they, like us, considered the entity of the Beatles as this separate thing that's like an impervious unvanquishable beast bigger than themselves, and thus inescapable. George leaving introduced the idea that the Beatles even COULD break up. This isn't personal opinion, it was all caught on camera, you can watch the whole situation unfold in real time. The only personal opinion that could be injected into it is the possibility that if it hadn't happened, the Beatles might have lingered together for over a half a century, like the Rolling Stones did. I think it took a death to do that one in.

@bigverybadtom The Stones are still relevant in a historic sense, and so are the Beatles. The only Beatle still musically active is Paul McCartney, but where's he on the charts these days? Time has a tendency to put everything and everybody in the past. No one gets out of here alive.

@bigverybadtom If you're allergic to being informed by what I said about the Beatles' breakup, it's not state mandated for you to be informed by it, so you don't have to walk so far around it.
