That can be decision made between teacher and students and parents. Especially for k thru 12. That way colleges can basically become jobs evaluation locations to learn and rate younger generation place into the workforce according to their grades or reviews throughout college. Means the better they do in college the higher rate they can be placed in relation to the workforce. But k thru 12 needs to reevaluate what's important to teach and what children should know by a certain age. It should start off with managing a family and home first. Farming, economics, physical fitness, cooking, CPR medicine healing, child birth, writing, art, music, dance, etc. Basic knowledge through peoples own talents while nurturing a family growth. Point being having high school diploma and knowing how manage a home and family should be core essentials for a high school diploma. College degrees should just a scale model to how good a student is in a particular field. Either way current education is sub par to what it should be. You learn absolutely nothing lies and stories and fantasies. Most of what you learn in high school is not much is used in life afterwards. Other than language and writing. K-12 needs to change to make sure children are raised knowing high to maintain a family and home your job or particular field expertise will come in play in college. So from birth to about 15 years of age, a 15 year old should know how to maintain a family and home. 15-20 to 25 should be college into their particular field of choice.
