Maybe we just cannot figure out how much oil and coal is left in the earth, but the people monitoring BP and SHELL etc. data are noticing that its getting harder and harder to find accessible pockets of oil as we search deeper and deeper for wells and deposits. Maybe they wont admit that because theres still likely 200 trillion dollars in coal and oil to drain at current prices, and they aren’t going to stop digging and cashing in until every single drop is gone… Then were going to be sitting without fuel or power for a couple years while we find additional fuel sources out of necessity, potentially killing off half the population… MAYBE the world leaders know all this, and their plan is to stall and postpone the scientifically literate masses with mentions of idiotic, spontaneous shifts in power across country, knowing someday sooner than we think they’re going to be sitting on the last known vein of hydrocarbons; and they will be apologising half heartedly as half the world prepares to die in the coming winter.. Maybe…… i dont believe this but maybe?

And maybe the 50 million years of pure forest debris that had no means of decomposition, that blanketed the earth 300 million years ago and turned into the hydrocarbons we all know and love, maybe there is MORE than enough fuel to turn our atmosphere into say 20% carbon dioxide, and they know we have to find a different industrial fuel or were just going to build ourselves into an inevitable ceiling. Maybe the engineers are sick of stupid steam turbines, despite how versatile and amazing waters is in terms of heat capacity and chemistry etc.

  4. Because one brain across one lifetime can never fathom the sheer depth of the wisdom found in the bible. Its a collective of the same truth being grasped and further refined over thousands of years by tens of thousands of the smartest human beings alive at the time, who spent their lives further refining statements of higher truth/fact so that people like you and me can derive use and understand their meaning as clearly as possible.
