  3.  @oakld  I got great hours at a Canadian steel plant. 2 -12hour day shifts followed by 2-12 hour night shifts ,so i get 3 days off a week. I,m a roller ,it pays $39 an hour which is $30 US dollars a hour. 7 weeks holidays. unions are great.

  8.  @oakld  That sounds great . Where i'm in the rolling is done from a air conditioned control booth by touch screen now. Zero physical work. A person in a wheelchair with one arm can do my job. The best part is when you finish the last 12 hour day shift at 5pm you do not have to go back until 5 am (24 hours later) to do the final 2 night shifts. It's like a mini mid week play time. We call it the Flip Flop.

  18.  @oakld  I use to to do 5x 8 hour shifts. The way I see it now . is I'm already settled in at work ,what's staying 4 extra hours for 4 sfits going to hurt. Now I have 3 days off all the time. Most people have to look forward to the occasional long weekend.

  22. In Canada I just buy the PS4 game used a year later. Example I bought a Used "Red Dead Redemption 2" game at a EA store at the mall for $25 Cnd ($18 US). Even New the game was on sale for $40 ($28 US). When the game was released it was $70 ($50 US).

  40. I pay $400 Canadian morgage with land tax included. with gas ,electric and water it is $900 a month total in winter and $700 without winter gas heating. Its a two story 12,000 square foot house with 3 bedrooms two bath room. It's in a 80,000 people city called Sault Ste. Marie in ontario,Canada. If this place was in Toronto it would be worth $700,000 but in the Sault is worth $160,000.
