  15. Material? That was going to happen no matter what? The US sold material they did not give it away. Britain's last WW2 payment was in Dec 2006. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk/6215847.stm If the US was not in the war at all they were selling something to someone no regardless.

  19. Back then America could have supplied Britain's oil. The middle east was not that developed in oil fields at that time. Even if Germany had all the oil they needed they still had less manpower and manufacturing capacity vs the US and USSR and would lose a war of attrition.
