Not sure how France can be in the loop when they surrendered in 1940.

@clangerbasher Canada only lost 45,000 soldiers and tripled its economy during the war. The US , Russia and Canada where the only countries that were stronger at the end of the war then they were at the start.

South Korea is doing rather well today , why is that depressing?

It only took the Germans 8 years to forget they invaded Russia and lost the war? Also Russia did 80% of the fighting against Germany and only got 1/3 of Germany's land? 2:10

South Korea being around proves its not a loss.

VoltigeurFR 200,000 is not a lot in the grand scheme of things. Getting a seat at the surrender was generous of the US ,UK and Russia. France lost 215,000 soldiers in ww2 the US lost 500,000 and was a country 4000 miles away.

China would be like Taiwan North Korea would be like South Korea. Easy to imagine.

@clangerbasher Canada had more troops than France in ww2. Before D-Day the Free French only had 100,000 soldiers. Canada had 1.1 million.

VoltigeurFR German troops occupying your country from 1940-1944 is a strange win. After the war with the invention of H-Bombs ,did a country really need allies anymore. Nobody can invade France ever again.
2
Did not know so many French wanted to be communist after the war. Should have canceled D-Day and let Stalin liberate France like Poland.
2
Do not see the US using their command of the air too much. Unlike Vietnam there was no thick jungles to hide in.

Did you know that out of the 100,000 french soldiers who escaped to England from Dunkirk , 80,000 chose to return to France after France surrendered. https://www.quora.com/What-happened-to-all-the-French-troops-that-were-evacuated-at-Dunkirk

South Koreans do not want North Korea. It would be to expensive to bring them to their 1st world standards.

VoltigeurFR France was liberated in the summer of 1944, by then the Russians were on a unstoppable march to Berlin no matter what. Before D-day the free French army was less than 120,000.
