  1. You would think the house on the river the children ran to would have been next ? Was it a personal thing with the natives with this family? Maybe they were clearing land on the native side of the river?

  3. Fun Fact)- In Ontario Canada we just gave a few months between $120,00 to $200,000 to every native man ,women and child with a Status card , on or off reservation .

  4. I'm sure it may have happened but the part about the family clearing land on the native's side of the river may have been removed . The neighbors the kids ran to were not touched for some reason .

  5.  @TheAppalachianStoryteller  I live in Sault Ste. Marie Canada. with a high native population and you can not buy a new truck because they are all sold out , it's funny as heck .

  6. This happened in 1750 about. Slavery was well established in America by then . This poor family could not afford to buy slaves .
