  2. I looked it up ,Canada and the US together produce more wheat than Russia. Canada on its own produces more wheat than the Ukraine. China produces the most then its #2 India.

  13.  @jacob4920  Russian navy never had teeth. They lost their flagship to a country without a navy. Russia still does not have air superiority with a county that has tiny Air Force. The Russian navy would be sunk from land on day one in a conventional war.

This is why I say there is zero advantages in large populations. More people need and use more, the planet never gets larger.

The IRAQ military was 10X that of the Ukraine and on the other side of the world not right next door like Mexico or Canada.

It's just irresponsibility for a country to relies on imports of food to live. Look how Europe is scrambling being caught as a slave from Russia for only energy. Can you imagine Russia with that control to feed Europe? Energy import disruptions are a inconvenience , food import disruptions can mean famine. This is not 1980 anymore with the planet feeding 4.3 billion people . This same planet has to feed 8 billion today. The bottom is coming.

  29.  @shmexygamer  Russia last experienced troops was from their failed 1979-1989 invasion of Afghanistan. Those troops are old men now. How is Ukraine more experienced they had no wars before 2014 . They were just better trained by NATO with more professional personnel . Russia corruption has deteriorated Russia's military. This will be a economic attrition war were Russian can not afford to keep it up like in Afghanistan. How can Russia afford to occupy a country of 40 million who will always hate them even if Russia can take the Ukraine? It will be like Britain occupplying Ireland and India.

When the US FINALLY went home the 300,000 Afghan Army surrendered to 80,000 taliban. Not every people fights for their country like Ukrainians and North Vietnam. The Afghan people now have to live under Taliban rules because the did not resist. Good riddens they had their chance.

  48. Russia with a GDP just above Spain does not have time on its side. Britain occupied ireland for 800 years before giving up. Ukrainians are also in the long game like the Irish. Like the US and Britain found out, the taking over a country part is easier than the occupying that country part. Russia can't even get the taking over the country part done in 9 months.
