  1. I would of joined the navy or merchant marines before living in a ditch. A battleship had a crew of over 1000 and there were many battleships. They only fought one day in Jutland for the whole war on both sides.

  3. I would change the Officer part with Germans. The British High command did some dumb stuff during the war, The Somme (Haig), Gallipoli (Hamilton ,Stopford and Hunter-Weston) come to mine ,  and in ww2 operation Market Garden by  Montgomery was some silly stuff.

  4. Even the artillery men far back of their trenches sure had it better . They fired on the enemies trenches (Their Max range) yet were out of range to be hit back by the other sides artillery.

  5. In both wars the U.S came out better off than going in. Unlike Britain which came out of both wars weaker and poorer at the end of the wars.

  7. Would that also no be America planes as well. I did not know the British had any thing that was better than the P-51 Mustang,  F4U Corsair Fighters , B-17, B-29 Bombers and the C-47 Transport. I'm not even sure Britain had a Transport plane of their  own they  only used the C-47 Sky train , I think the British call them Dakotas.

The US could just get rich selling material to Europe for their war without sending any troops.  I do not think the Americans though Germany was ever going to storm the beaches of New York City any time in the future.  Same goes with ww2. Britain declares war to save Poland and at the end Poland is took over by Stalin anyways, "Mission unaccomplished" to say the least.

  30. I read the book about the Emden years ago , it was great , the stuff a movie should be about. They did make a movie in 2012 called "Odyssey of Heroes" but it starts off during her sinking which is only half of the exciting story. Unlike the book that tells it all in detail. Think of it as two parts. Part one about her fantastic romp around the Pasfic sinking 25+ ships and Part two the incredible escape back to Germany

  45. Both wars math cause Germany to lose. They alway fight against a side with more People , Resources and Manufacturing . One on one the US had more people and manufacturing than Germany . Now you have the UK , USSR and France added in .

  46.  @jessealexander2695  Yes. The US had 3 Aircraft Carriers during Pearl Harbour . By the surrender in Tokyo Bay the US had 120 Aircraft Carriers ,if you include escort carriers . Things sure change in war .

  47. Britain would of went to war no matter what.  They declared war on Germany for invading EAST Poland but not Russian who Invaded WEST Poland at the same time in 1938. Britain just has it out for Germany.
