The war was over in two months after the Dresden bombing , the Germans had no working factories at that time. The Russians were on the verge to break into Hitler's bunker and put him in a cage, War Over. Dresden being bombed or not was not changing that. Dresden was bombed because the other cities were already piles of rubble and Dresden was all that was left for the bored airmen.
