I really don't get why people think 'Pure Evil' equals simple villain with no interesting psychology behind it - Frollo from the Hunchback of Notre Dame I think is a better example of a pure evil villain that completely goes against that 'simplistic design', that's just my opinion though. I would like to see a video of the Game Changer/Knight of Cerebus tv trope.

I disagree - his background explored in the Pre-Sequel adds complexity to his character and he genuinely believes he's doing the right thing when he want to wipe out bandits from Pandora: he even goes ballistic when you kill his daughter after facing the BNK3R - I could be wrong on this but Pure Evil I'm pretty sure, has to fall in the boundaries of not only being monstrous but also having either: zero redeeming qualities, their irrelevant backstory (as said in the video), or they do things that are considered crossing the line but they don't care if this is the case, someone like Ramsay Bolton from Game of Thrones would fit this better as his backstory of being a bastard isn't really, relevant to his evil, he does insanely evil things for the shits and giggles and he has no factors that could make him redeemable in the slightest.

  3.  @jacobloewen7393  Thing is, he thinks he's doing the right thing instead of evil for the sake of evil. You do make valid points that I can't argue with though.
