THe country is 24% Republican. 26% Democrat...and 50% INDEPENDENT. The fact is, Democrats CANNOT win without independents. So people like YOU need to get over it. Biden barely won, with support a mile wide and an inch deep, and people voted for him because they felt they had no choice . (Bernie was cheated, admit it. And the opponent is Trump.) Nina was, I will admit, too KIND in her assessment of Biden. (I notice you forgot the rest of her statement, which is VERY telling about you. WE did NOT forget it.) We DO NOPT like this one. How about you fucking corporate Dems stop GFOING TO COIURT to deny third parties ballot access? Oh, did you forget about that TOO? Democrats can't stand the idea of democracy. Maybe one dedicated to the environment. You raise a legit question...there is no 4th party English Canadians can turn to, so where do we start?

Yes, with a strong NDP presence the government could be forced to strengthen Medicare with adding dental and prescriptions. Trudeau tows the line of the imperialist US whenever he "has" to instead of standing up to them. He is weak in many ways. We are only now starting to realize what governments AND CHURCHES have done to our indigenous brothers and sisters and reparations have to be made. Statues should never be your first priority. But defunding police who will protect property over people should be. I'm glad we had this chat, I hope you learned something.

  39. @Anthony Thompson exactly. I was laid off in 2012 and again last year. I do not qualify for EI and I have burned through my savings thanks to the shortsightedness of Corporate Canada. I DO NOT know whether I will get this benefit, which would literally mean the difference between covering my bills and possible eviction. And in Toronto, forget about $1000. The average ONE BEDROOM rent is now apparently over $1600.
