  1. Sometimes it's only about the cash. Candidates get to keep leftover campaign funds, so why not bail while money is still there for the taking? Many politicians run for the sole purpose of a quick buck.

  2. Not surprised. DeSantis was never seriously dedicated to running for President. He pretty much said so a year ago but many were not listening & reading between the lines. He was content with being Governor of FL & running for President requires gambling all of your ties with comfort, stability & familiarity. Most people don't have the guts to do this.
