@robbiepolo7634 Growing up during the 70's it was the opposite. Junk food novelties & goodies cost twice healthy foods. I remember begging my mom to buy snack cakes & sweetened cereal & her refusing, saying, "I can buy enough food to make dinner & leftovers, for the cost of that one small box of cereal!" (Thankfully I don't eat that crap anymore.)

Agree, seeing food prices now up by a third. Disgusting & I totally blame this nasty excuse of an administration. And you know they're eating well. (Just as disgusting, nasty & a waste - 73/27% It's more than one quarter fat. Might as well pay the extra buck or so & buy what you can eat. Unless you like eating melted fat. Some people do, I guess...? 👍🤪)

@Killer Koala Interesting. Is this Aldi on the corporate closing list? Heard a few stores will be gone soon.

@Killer Koala Yes, same here. I can't afford Kroger, Food Lion & Publix. And WM just sucks, no thanks. (Imo) I did overhear an Aldi employee answering questions from another shopper about the closings. Rumor was ALL stores are closing but this is not true - only some stores. Which I believe. It took me awhile to get into shopping the place too but simplifying my diet made all the difference.
