After suffering a stroke, the brain can rework itself to think clearly again by creating new neuron pathways. And much better pathways than the old ones, depending which part of the brain is damaged. I know because I went thru something similar. Two years after the damage, things began to improve in a way that was amazing. But it only happened because I forced myself to keep working when everyone said quit & take it easy. Like Fetterman, I was mocked & laughed at too, for trying - I couldn't put a coherent sentence together for months. Luckily my boss & coworkers were incredibly patient & tolerant during those months.
