These big investors buy & sell companies like we pay utility bills. It's what they do. And sometimes the acquisitions are completely baffling to the average person. But occasionally investors make money buying struggling companies, through tax write-offs. Or breaking companies up & selling them off in pieces. Or, just to acquire a company's tech platform, equipment & customer base, to create their own media company. Many reasons why this happens. Unfortunately it can & does contribute to employee job losses. Which in turn negativity affects economies. It goes on every day, too, bits & pieces adding up.
