Yes, some good points made.👌 Most politicians don't seem very bright. Probably because they're busy trying to win a seat, vs. reading a book. Or, just can't retain what they've learned. So, they hire unqualified uneducated knuckle-heads to put words in their mouths. Laziness - & what to expect if they make it to DC. (This is why many like Trump. He speaks as someone who pays attention to details & remembers what he learns. He's able to accurately link facts, ideas & likely outcomes thru his own successes & hard-knocks. Other's experiences too. Without talking down to people. His supporters respect this & that he genuinely makes the effort to speak to them as equals. I get that it's still circus arena entertainment for votes, I'm not naive. But there's a good reason why many politicians try to emulate this ability & fail miserably - they're unable to genuinely relate to & grasp voter's struggles & worries. Or, choose not to. Trump supporters have been saying this, warning this, for years & ignored by DC establishment. Hopefully 2024 will wake them up. They deserve the same butt-hurt they've inflicted on our country.

Back in the 70s, in 5th grade, we were taught both the economic & slavery aspects of the Civil War, in detail. It's doubtful that most public schools discuss the money aspect on any meaningful level today. Bad, because govt & industry overly controlling economics in a free capitalist nation also controls the masses. It's important for kids to understand this danger so they don't become "slaves" to abusive overreaching & over-regulating govt, banks, credit card corporations, etc. Yes, Haley could've smartly discussed the current relevant threats of "economic slavery" to easily move into discussing the human slavery aspect of the war. But who ever said politicians were smart? (To be fair, the US public is bombarded by slavery history discussions. To where people stop listening or caring about it. PBS is a perfect example of non-stop slavery discussion. Esp in southern US broadcasting areas. No wonder some kids & young people believe historical 1860 human slavery still exists here.)
