  1. This is absurd, agree. As kids, we grew up in a rural area & at age 10 spent hours playing in the woods around old iron mines. We were told to be home for dinner & to run from strangers who got too close or friendly. Unfortunately, crimes against young ones have escalated so badly that it's become the new-normal for parents to keep their children inside their homes. And any logic aside from this sad maladjusted thought is now seen as irresponsible. 😢 (We have kids in our neighborhood who never step outside, other than to walk to & from the bus stop. And it's empty & unsettling. I miss the normal sounds of children laughing & playing outdoors the way we did.)
